Dr. William Uttal
William R. Uttal is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Michigan and Professor Emeritus of Engineering at Arizona State University. Dr. Uttal holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology and Biophysics. He has held visiting faculty appointments in Australia, Italy, New Zealand, Germany, and Japan, as well as, at the University of Hawaii. Presently, Dr. Uttal continues as an active faculty participant at Arizona State University.
Dr. Uttal has also held positions outside of academia at the IBM Research Center and the Naval Ocean Systems Center. His strong background in physics, neurosciences and human psychology enables Dr. Uttal to address human factor issues in personal injury. He has extensive experience as an expert witness in civil cases and has authored 28 books, including entitled 1) Human Factors in the Courtroom, 2) Neurosciences in the Courtroom and 3) Cognitive Neuroscience: A Critical Reappraisal (in Press).
